Known as a political thinker who has played an active role in academic activities and as a promoter of progressive ideas, Dr. Shafiuzzaman was born in Chitara,Mahmoodpur, Azamgarh. He received his education from Shibli National College to Aligarh Muslim University. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree in 1998, he has been continuously contributing meaningfully to various academic institutions. Since 2015 to the present, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science at Shibli National College, Azamgarh. More than a dozen of his research papers have been published in reputed research journals. He has participated in and organized numerous seminars and workshops at the state, national, and international levels.
